Grants for NGOs
Invitation for Pre-qualification of NGOs

for the Management of Mentoring Grants
 
 
The NGO Development Centre would like to pre-qualify NGOs for the management of Mentoring Grants. The Mentoring Grants Program (MGP) aims at enhancing the availability, quality and sustainability of services provided to marginalized communities. The Program will be implemented by Mentor NGOs – Mentoring Grants Managers (PGMs) or consortia of NGOs. The Mentor NGO may choose to engage with other Partner NGOs who have specific expertise that can contribute to the success of the program. Under each Mentoring Grants Project, a group of (5-10) small NGOs/CBOs, referred to as Partner NGOs/CBOs will be the recipients of the sub-grants.
 
Eligibility Criteria for Mentor NGOs: Palestinian NGOs will qualify as MGMs provided that they meet all of the following eligibility criteria and requirements:
  • NGO applicant institution is a Palestinian, non-governmental, non-profit and non-partisan organization
  • NGO is officially registered and evidence of legal registration is submitted (minumum 8 years of registration)
  • NGO has proven experience and demonstrated results working in poor and marginalized communities
  • NGO’s financial management and administrative systems are adequate to implement grant and oversee implementation of  sub-projects by partner NGOs 
  • Operates at the national or district level
  • NGO Mentor organizations have physical presence in vicinity of service delivery program, working at the district or community level 
  • Demonstrated capacity to manage logistics of outreach to partner NGOs
  • Personnel capable of meeting requirements of proposed Mentoring Grant activity
  • NGOs currently benefitting from NDC grants can apply only if 75% of their project activities are completed by the application submission date.

 

Please note that:
NGOs may receive only one type of the grants offered by NDC
NGOs may submit only one proposal for only one type of grants offered by NDC.

Granting of Mentoring Grants is a two-stage process:

 
1.  Pre-qualification of Mentoring Grants Managers
  1. Submission of Full Project Proposals based on Seed Grants

 

Receiving Pre-Qualification Application Forms: NGOs that meet the above mentioned criteria, and who wish to be qualified to apply for a Mentoring Grant, may pick up the “Pre-qualification Application Form” and the “Guidelines for Submission” from NDC offices as shown below starting 28 July 2010.
 

 

 
Submission of Pre-qualification Application Forms: The deadline for submission of Pre-qualification Application Forms is 26 August 2010. The Applications may ONLY be submitted in hard and soft copies (CD) at NDC offices located at the following addresses:
