The Sharek Youth Forum project focused on improving primary education through homework centers where children were supported by youth mentors and staff. The project developed the skills of staff, trained youth as mentors and developed a manual to support the mentors, as well as furnishing the homework center in Jerusalem.

Hebron Blind Charitable Society

The project with the Hebron Blind Charitable Society focused on developing teaching methods for the blind & low vision children in ther school. Through the project he society was equipped with special devices and equippment for the full and partial blind; the staff received training on methods to work with flind children; families were educated on how to use the braile system and educational and life skills trainings were provided.

Society for the Care of the Handicapped in the Gaza Strip

The Society for the Care of the Handicapped in Gaza was able to provide training for teachers in special education to better meet the needs of handicapped children in Gaza. Awareness sessions were held for families to help them develop techniques and methods for dealing with their children. In addition the main facilities were rehabilitated to provide better services for children with special needs.

Martin Luther Elderly Care Center

The Martin Luther Elderly Care Center engages in a variety of activities with the elderly, including awareness lectures, therapeutic activities, and various recreational activities. Additionally, they conduct home visits for elderly who are not able to come to the center. The empowerment grant enabled them to compete repairs to their center including painting and changing windows.
