The General Assembly elected the following members to the NDC Board of Directors for a term of three years: Mr. Zahi Khouri - Chair, Mr. Abdel-Karim Ashour - Vice Chair, Dr. Varsen Shaheen - Treasurer, and Dr. Suleiman Al-Khalil - Secretary; along with Mr. Fahmi Shalaldeh, Dr. Suhail Al-Qishawi, Mr. Mohammad Munzer Al-Rayyes, Dr. Saed Al-Ghoul, and Dr. Aed Mahmoud Yaghi as members.

NDC Director, Ghassan Kasabreh, presented the General Assembly with an overview of the Center’s many achievements during 2021, including the commencement of activities within the “Action for East Jerusalem Identity and Resilience Programme” funded by the French Development Agency (AFD), as well as the completion of NDC’s new strategic plan (2022-2026).

The General Assembly approved the new strategic plan, which identifies three strategic objectives for the Center in the upcoming five years: (i) NDC is a main mechanism for supporting and developing NGOs to respond to the community’s most pressing needs; (ii) NGOs are better able to carry out their tasks effectively; and,  (iii) availability of sufficient and suitable resources and best practices to the NGO sector, which contribute to enhancing its performance.

By working towards these objectives, NDC will achieve its goal of supporting NGOs to contribute to the development of Palestinian society and to meeting its needs.
